What is a Prayer Station?
A 'Prayer Station' is a portable, light-weight stand
that can be assembled in a matter of minutes and
easily moved from location to location
throughout a community.
A large RED BANNER with white letters proclaiming
'Prayer Station' is stretched out above the table to make it easy to find. Volunteers with hearts to pray for others
manage and staff the stations.
The purpose of a Prayer Station is to provide a convenient place in the community for the lost, confused and hurting to come for prayer. Through this prayer, many can be told the 'good news' of Jesus Christ and be saved.

Origins of The Prayer Station
The concept of a Prayer Station was formed in 1992 by a Christian community outreach group called Youth With A Mission in New York City. The outreach was so effective in reaching the lost that it quickly spread throughout the world. Read about the origins of the Prayer Station Ministry at www.prayerstations.org . You may also follow them on Facebook and Twitter:
Jack and Louise Hensley brought a 'Prayer Station' back to Burlington, NC, after participating in a 'Youth With A Mission' street event in New York a few years ago. They saw many lives changed that day and were hooked.
The Burlington, NC, Prayer Station team will need you as volunteers and intercessors. Please pray for this ministry, and that the lost, confused and hurting will find help in Jesus Christ!
